Betting Rules
About these rules
This English overview follows the sport categories on the 20Bet Finland betting-rules page. Market-specific exceptions and the full racing and cricket provisions are available in the operator’s complete rules linked below.
American football
Overtime is excluded unless a market says otherwise. Incorrect scores, team listings or a clock error of more than 89 seconds may lead to bets being voided. Abandoned or postponed games are void unless resumed within the same NFL week, from Thursday to Wednesday in local stadium time.
Australian rules
Markets normally cover the scheduled 80 minutes, including interruptions but excluding extra time. Incorrect team listings or a clock error exceeding two minutes may lead to bets being voided.
Badminton
Undecided markets are void if a match is not completed or a participant withdraws. A specified-point market is void if the set ends before that point. Official point deductions affect undecided markets, not already settled ones.
Bandy
Regular-time markets cover 90 minutes unless stated otherwise. If three periods are used, half-time is taken at 45 minutes. The game must be completed. Extra time and penalties count only for markets such as qualification or tournament winner.
Baseball
Extra innings are excluded unless stated otherwise. Settlement normally uses nine innings, or eight and a half when the home team leads. A postponed or interrupted game must resume within 48 hours of its original starting time; otherwise undecided markets are void. Already determined markets stand.
Basketball
Overtime is excluded unless stated otherwise. A venue change does not invalidate bets while the designated home team remains officially the home team. Material score errors or a clock error of more than two minutes may lead to voiding. Unreached specified-point markets are void.
Beach volleyball
Undecided markets are void if the match is incomplete or a team withdraws. Golden sets do not count. Point deductions affect undecided markets only.
Biathlon
Both athletes must start for a head-to-head bet on fewer shooting misses to stand.
Bowls
Unreached specified-point markets and undecided markets following withdrawal or retirement are void. Material score errors or incorrectly listed participants may also lead to voiding.
Boxing
Replacing a participant voids the bets. A retirement or disqualification between rounds is treated as occurring after the last completed round. A win includes a points decision, KO, TKO, disqualification or withdrawal. Settlement uses the official result after the bout.
Chess
Postponed games are void. Interrupted games are void except for outcomes already unambiguously determined. Replacing a participant also voids bets; settlement otherwise follows the official tournament result.
Cricket
Match bets follow official competition rules and the official result, including weather-affected games. Without an official result, bets are void. Where a tie has no declared winner, dead-heat rules apply; a bowl-off or super over is settled using the official result. Cancelled matches must restart within 36 hours. The full source contains separate provisions for innings, overs, runs, wickets, partnerships and player markets.
Cycling
Settlement follows the official result at the podium presentation; later changes do not count. Abandoned stages or races are void unless an outcome is already clearly determined. A dead heat divides the winning odds by the number of tied winners.
Darts
Undecided markets are void if the match is incomplete or not played. Material scoring or participant errors may lead to voiding. Bullseye counts as red for checkout-colour markets.
E-basketball
Overtime is excluded unless stated otherwise. Interrupted or postponed matches must resume within 48 hours. If a match is abandoned and restarted, undecided markets are void. Incorrect scores or match time may lead to voiding.
E-ice hockey
Markets normally use regular time, apart from period markets or a stated exception. Incorrect scores, goals or penalty events left unreflected in an open market may lead to voiding. Interrupted games must resume within 48 hours; restarted abandoned games void undecided markets.
E-football
Regular time includes stoppage time but excludes extra time, shootouts and golden goals unless stated otherwise. Missing goals, cards, penalties, incorrect scores or incorrect teams may lead to voiding. Interrupted matches must resume within 48 hours; undecided markets on abandoned and restarted games are void.
Field hockey
Markets cover regular time unless stated otherwise. Interrupted or postponed matches must resume within 48 hours. A material score error may lead to voiding.
Floorball
Regular-time settlement covers 60 minutes in three 20-minute periods. Extra time and penalties count only for qualification, tournament-winner or similarly specified markets. The game must be completed.
Formula 1
A driver withdrawing before qualifying makes the bet void. Once the driver starts qualifying, they are treated as having participated and bets stand.
Futsal
Markets normally cover regular time. Interrupted games resumed within 48 hours are settled on the final result; otherwise undecided bets are void. Incorrect goals, cards, penalties, teams, scores or a clock error over two minutes may lead to voiding.
Golf
Settlement follows official tournament results. Head-to-head participants must play at least one hole of the relevant round. If neither completes all rounds, the higher-ranked golfer wins. Shortened tournaments stand when an official result is declared.
Handball
Most markets cover regular time. Specified-point and race-to-points markets may include overtime, but are void if the points are not reached or the game moves to seven-metre throws. Material score errors or a clock error over three minutes may lead to voiding.
Ice hockey
Markets normally cover regular time, except period, overtime and shootout markets or stated exceptions. For markets including overtime and shootouts, a shootout adds one goal to the winner and the game total. Incorrect scores or a clock error over two minutes may lead to voiding.
MMA
Settlement follows the official result after the bout. Later disqualifications do not change settlement. A draw makes bets void unless the market states otherwise.
Motorsports
Official results decide winners. Dead heats divide winning odds. Qualification bets use the classification immediately after qualifying, including time penalties applied during qualifying but excluding subsequent grid changes. Head-to-head rules depend on both drivers participating.
Racing
Racing has a separate detailed rulebook covering bet acceptance, winning bets, multi-bets, non-runners, deductions, dead heats, payout limits and jurisdiction-specific rules. All-in bets do not receive non-runner refunds. Correct Weight or All Clear confirms that results are ready for settlement. Consult the full source for the applicable race and bet type.
Rugby sevens
Regular-time markets cover the scheduled 14 or 20 minutes, including stoppages but excluding extra time, penalty shootouts and sudden death. Missing cards, score changes or a clock error exceeding one minute may lead to voiding.
Rugby union and rugby league
Regular-time markets cover 80 minutes including stoppages, but exclude extra time, penalty shootouts and sudden death. Material score or card errors, incorrect teams or a clock error over two minutes may lead to voiding.
Snooker
Undecided markets are void on retirement, disqualification or an unplayed match. A re-rack does not alter an already determined outcome. Fouls and free balls do not count in potted-ball-colour markets. Incomplete-frame markets are void unless already determined.
Football
Regular-time markets normally cover 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalties. Friendly matches and nonstandard match lengths have separate provisions. Awarded but untaken corners do not count. The full rules contain market-specific settlement details.
Speedway
An incomplete event may stand if the organisers declare the result official. A cancelled event rescheduled for another date is void. Participation requirements apply to rider markets. Joker and bonus points are excluded from the stated rider-points markets; Grand Prix totals use the main 20 heats, excluding semi-finals and the final.
Squash
Unreached specified-point markets are void. Retirement, withdrawal or disqualification voids undecided markets. Official point deductions affect only undecided markets; referee-awarded penalty points do not invalidate bets.
Swimming
Settlement uses the official result published after the swim. Later disqualifications or result changes do not count. A swimmer disqualified for a starting infringement is treated as having participated.
Table tennis
Undecided markets are void when the match is incomplete or a player withdraws. Specified-point markets are void if the set ends before that point. Official point deductions affect undecided markets only.
Tennis
Retirement or disqualification voids undecided markets; a walkover voids all markets. Changes of date, venue, surface or indoor/outdoor setting do not invalidate bets. Match, set and totals markets have separate completion rules. A tie-break or match tie-break counts as one game, and a deciding match tie-break counts as the third set.
Virtual sports
The source lists separate formats: virtual football is two six-minute halves; FIFA Volta is two three-minute halves; virtual basketball is four six-minute quarters; virtual cricket has two innings of five overs each. Other formats, including virtual tennis, shooting, fighting and horse racing, use their own listed settlement rules.
Volleyball
Unreached specified-point markets and undecided markets in incomplete matches are void. Golden sets are excluded. Official point deductions affect undecided markets only.
Water polo
Markets normally cover regular time, except qualification or explicitly stated markets. A game stopped before completion makes bets void.
Winter sports
The source covers skiing, ski jumping, Nordic combined, skating, snowboard, biathlon-related disciplines and sliding sports. Officially accepted shortened ski-jumping results can stand. Head-to-head participation and completion requirements differ by discipline; consult the full rules for the event.
